Ian Farnan is co-chair of the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency’s Global Forum WG4 on Improving the Competitiveness of Nuclear Energy and Chair of the UK Nuclear Academics Discussion Meeting focusing on delivering UK Nuclear Skills. He is also Chief Executive Officer of Cambridge AtomWorks (2024) Ltd, the design authority for the ODIN nuclear micro- reactor being developed by Nanonuclear Energy Inc.(NASDAQ: NNE) who plan to deploy nuclear micro-reactors in off-grid locations for mining and development. In 2024, Professor Farnan spent two semesters on sabbatical at Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs as a Managing the Atom Fellow.
