Julie has policy interests on the societal impacts of artificial intelligence (AI). Her perspective is shaped by experience in technology teams and a focus on the critical challenges organisations are facing in skills development and workforce redeployment to adapt to AI-driven change.

The rapid and transformative introduction of AI capabilities is placing unprecedented pressure on organisations to evolve. Beyond adopting new technologies, businesses must demonstrate how AI will deliver tangible value to customers and stakeholders.

This pressure will inevitably drive significant shifts in job roles and employment patterns, creating ripple effects across society. Addressing these changes proactively, through reskilling, strategic workforce planning, and inclusive policy frameworks, will be essential to mitigate disruption and harness AI’s potential for broad societal benefit.
