Deputy Director, Asylum Strategy Implementation

Louisa currently works in the Home Office leading on strategy delivery within the Asylum Group, including overseeing implementation of reforms within the Asylum Policy Statement. Prior to this she led on implementation of a number of the Windrush reforms, and served as policy advisor to former Home Secretary Sajid Javid, as well as heading up the Policy Unit at the Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government.
Before joining Government Louisa worked across think tanks and voluntary sector organisations spending 4 years at Which? leading on creating more user-focused housing and public services; and prior to that at Resolution Foundation.
She holds an MSc from the University of Oxford in Comparative Social Policy.
