Dr Luke X Reynolds MBE is Head of Policy - People and Planet at the Royal Society, where he directs a comprehensive policy portfolio focused on global sustainability, climate resilience, human health and artificial intelligence. With over a decade of experience at the heart of the UK Civil Service, he has served as a pivotal adviser to the Government Chief Scientist during periods of national crisis, and led initiatives to embed long-term strategic foresight into government decision-making. His diverse career spans equity investments, the pharmaceutical industry, and academia. A chemist by training, Luke holds a PhD in laser spectroscopy.
