Assistant Professor, Bennett School of Public Policy

Dr Nina Jörden is an Assistant Professor at the Bennett School of Public Policy. Her research examines how people collaborate and organise, with a particular focus on how individuals shape and are shaped by organisational structures, practices, and processes. She is particularly interested in how these dynamics influence the way business productivity is understood and conceptualised.

Over the past three years, Nina has focused on the UK’s productivity puzzle, with her work spanning three key themes: management practices, the integration of technology, and employee wellbeing. She collaborates with organisations across both the public and private sectors. Nina is an Academic Fellow at the Centre for Science and Policy (CSaP), a member of The Productivity Institute, and a sub-group lead within Cambridge Ahead. She also holds affiliations with the Working Time Reduction Research Network and Cambridge Public Health.

Nina teaches on the MPhil in Public Policy. She holds a PhD in Organisational Studies, an MSc in Human Resource Management, and a BA in Psychology and Management.
