Dr Sophie Atkinson is a Deputy Director in the Cabinet Office. She has 12 years of experience working across four different government departments (MOD, Cabinet Office, FCDO, DSIT) on a range of policy issues relating to the intersection of national security, resilience and growth. She is currently responsible for leading cross-government teams to deliver policy-relevant assessment and analysis which underpins decision making by the PM, National Security Council, and other Cabinet Committees across a broad portfolio including science & tech, economic security and energy resilience.
