Alex Marcoci is Co-Investigator of EvEx and Assistant Professor of Global Risk and Resilience at the Institute for Technology and Humanity, University of Cambridge. His research develops methods to improve collective decision-making on emerging technologies, with a particular focus on AI risk and governance. His work spans experimental research, policy engagement, and large-scale collaborative projects aimed at strengthening how governments and organisations generate, absorb, and use evidence about emerging risks. He previously served as a UKRI Policy Fellow in the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, contributing to the future of online regulation. His work has been funded by UKRI, the British Academy, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, IARPA, and DARPA.
